Overview
Levigation is the traditional way of refining kaolin with water. Crude clay is blunged into a slurry, sand and mica settle out, and the fine clay is carried into settling tanks, dewatered and dried into cakes.
The result is a cleaner, whiter and finer clay with low residue. Our sun-dried levigated cakes are then crushed and packed to suit your plant, from lumps to powder.

What is the difference between crude and levigated china clay?
Crude clay is raw and unwashed. Levigated clay is washed in water so sand, mica and coarse particles settle out, giving a cleaner, whiter and finer product.
Do you supply levigated clay in powder form?
Yes. We supply dried cakes, crushed lumps or ground powder depending on your process.
